If there is one place that gives us the opportunity to stop our daily commitments and "run", it is none other than our favourite Italian restaurant. Where the culinary heart of Italy "beats" and we have the opportunity to taste the purest raw materials, through authentic recipes and refined dishes with the signature of Il Barretto.
So, this November, we took the opportunity to get even closer to the epitome of Italian finesse and Mediterranean temperament, choosing flavours that travelled through our taste buds. You may be wondering which of the dishes on the menu at Il Barretto caught our attention? The answer was the Panino Tartufo, with mushrooms, bacon, chives and tartufo mayonnaise, and the Pollo Salad. This is a green salad with chicken, guanciale, avocado, parmesan and honey-mustard vinaigrette, which, like it or not, we loved. And since a break from work is always accompanied by our favourite aperitif, the choice was two: a glass of white wine and a non-alcoholic Crodino.
Yes, a middle course should never be missing from our table. We may have finished our tasting in a hurry, but we knew that the time we had left before we finished our aperitif would require a side dish. Just like that, and without a second thought, a variety of Parmesan and Prosciutto di Parma arrived on our table, called Degustazione Italiana. And yet we needed nothing more to realise that we had just discovered a new daily habit: our lunch break at Il Barretto.
The time passed as pleasantly as possible, and just before returning to the office, we made the wisest decision. To try one of the freshest and most delicious desserts we've ever tasted: Crema di Limone, with red fruit sauce and pistachio Aegina crumble. And it was just the boost we needed to carry on with the rest of the day!
