The popular Taste Garden has returned to Golden Hall! The seven canteens offer new and refreshing suggestions, street food options and delicious desserts.
As the weather warms up, tasty, refreshing drinks are added to our daily routine. Our first 'stop' was Starbucks, where we tried the Strawberries & Cream Frappuccino with chocolate chips, paired with the chocolate filled donut and couldn't hide our smiles. In the Flocafe Espresso Room, we chose three of the most popular options on the menu: the Frozen Lemonade with Raspberries, the Biscolato Freddo and our all-time favourite cocktail, the La Paloma. These were enough to give us a first "taste" during our shopping break.
Yes, there are some signature options that will always have a place on our table and that was the reason for our visit to TGI Fridays. We chose the Fridays Signature Glazed Mini Burgers with fresh beef burger, Fridays Signature Glaze with Jack Daniel's whiskey, frizzled onions, cheddar, iceberg, tomato and brioche bread, and of course our favourite Classic Margarita. However, as my friend is a hot dog fan, Cultivos Coffee's Classic Hot Dog with fluffy bun, frankfurter, ketchup, mustard, mayo and pickles was perfect.
As time passed and the sun set, we decided to move on to more comfortable options. So at the everest exclusive we ordered a falafel sandwich and our favourite soft drink, while at The Meat Boys our table was filled with chicken leg skewers, meatballs with potatoes and fries with gruyere cream. And to be honest, we knew with the first bite that we had created the most perfect combination of street food.
As our walk came to an end, the lights illuminating the colourful canteens were the "trademark". It was time to end the day with a cheese and wine pairing. Without thinking twice, we headed to the Kostarelos Canteen and chose a goat's milk Gruyere paired with Scala white wine and a green pepper Gruyere paired with Kamara Estate rosé semi-sweet wine. And so we toasted to the summer to come and said goodbye until our next visit to Golden Hall's Taste Garden.
